For ten years, My Money Workshop has provided high-caliber financial education to over 18,000 participants from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, race, and ethnicity. We are excited to celebrate our accomplishments and look forward to the future with our donors, volunteers, and friends.
Our mission is needed as much today as it was when we were founded. Dick’s vision lives on in the diverse programming we deliver to our partners and participants every day. My Money Workshop’s mission is to educate people to manage their finances wisely and to make a lifetime of informed decisions. We partner with local schools and community organizations to create customized and innovative financial literacy workshops for students ages 12 – 23 and adults 24-50+. We teach people to understand the decisions they make about money so they can build positive financial futures.
Our goal is to continually work with the school or community agency to identify the content that will resonate best with participants. In our Foundation for Financial Success Programs, a four-part series for teens and adults, we have identified a proven curriculum that provides an in-depth overview of our core topics, which provides participants with a strong foundation to embark on their journey to becoming economically independent. Our other programming, including our Financial Needs Discovery sessions, allow us to answer the direct needs of participants in ever-changing communities. Our digital initiative will allow us to scale the impact of the program to serve beyond the core geographic areas in which we teach. The value and impact of an investment in My Money Workshop are exponential.
We are embarking on a strategic plan to double our impact by 2023.
